On the 26th of September we went to Arundel. Around 10 we took the train in Chichester. Around 11 we arrived in Arundel. From the station we first walked to Arundel. It was quite a long walk, but it was okay, because the surroundings were good, and we had a good view on the Castle of Arundel.

Our Trip to Arundel

We first walked to the cathedral, which took us quite a while because we first took the wrong path. And because Arundel isn’t all flat we walked up and down hills. When we finally arrived at the Cathedral, we thought we couldn’t really go in, because they were going to start a prayer.

Then we decided to find some place to buy some food and eat lunch. We bought our lunch at a little bakery in the city centre and went to a little park to eat it. We had great weather that day, so we were lucky!

After our lunch we decided to go to the Castle, because some of us really wanted to see that. We needed to pay entrance money, but there are different prices for it. 2 of us took the cheapest one (9 pound), which included only the gardens and the church, and 2 of us took the second cheapest one (11 pound), with this ticket we could also look in a small part of the castle.

The gardens surrounding the castle are beautiful, but the real castle gardens were even more beautiful. And because of the nice we weather it looked so beautiful. After we went trough the castle gardens, the two of us (anna and I) went into the castle, from there we had a nice few over the whole castle gardens, and Arundel

When we came out of the castle and its gardens we went for a walk to a pub. But we ended up by a lake called the Swanbourne lake, there we had some drinks and enjoyed or view. At  the Swanbourne lake you can hire a boat and peddle on the Swanbourne lake, it reminded me of the scene in the ‘ little mermaid’  movie. There were swans, birds and ducks everywhere

After we finished our drinks we were quit tired and decided to go back to the train station and go back to Chichester
