Chichester International

Laurine

 

Hi! My name is Laurine van der Minne. I’m 19 years old. I currently live in Chichester, but my real home is in Rotterdam. It’s a big, modern city in The Netherlands. I’ve lived in the same house with my parents and sister for almost my whole life. When my sister Charlotte was 19 she moved to Gent in Belgium to study to be a nurse. She is less than 2 years older than me, so we’re more like friends! I really miss her sometimes.

 

I’m here for a year. I went to Chichester because I didn’t know what I wanted to study in The Netherlands and to improve my English. I hope to find out this year. At the college, I’m following the Musical Theatre course. On the photo you can see me with my girls-only cIass (I am first from the left). They’re all a bit younger than me. We’ve got singing lessons, dancing lessons, acting lessons and one voice lesson every week. I live near the train station in Chichester, in a student house with three others. Two of them are university students, and both doing Performing Arts courses similar to me.

 

Things I like (to do) are: Pilates, singing, dancing, fitness stuff, my fluffy rabbits (on the pictures), cats, elephants, taking hot baths, babysitting, friendly people, shopping, and going on holidays. 

 

This year I went to the California, United States with my mom and sister. It was amazing! We saw San Diego, San Fransisco, Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Los Angeles and went to the three national parks in California. One of them was all desert, it was so hot out there! We also spotted a lot of whales and sea lions. This photo was taken on the day we went whale spotting and was taken by one of the guides.
