Trip to London
London is one of the world`s most visited cities and it is worth visiting it! I had already gone there twice, once with my parents and the other time with my secondary school, but that doesn`t mean I don`t want to visit it more often. So I went to London with my boyfriend again when he came here to visit me.
On Friday, after class, I took the train to London Victoria. The journey took me around 1,5 hour. I arrived at a really busy station with hundreds of people who took the metro or the train. Luckily I find my boyfriend and we began our weekend in London.
That evening we first had diner in a pub. Of course, fish and chips! And after that we walked around the Big Ben, Westminster Abby and the London Eye. It is really nice to see those things in the evening because they are full of lights. The London Eye has different colour lights and the Big Ben also looked more romantic in that way. Around these places, there were some street musicians who played beautifully.
The next morning we began our day with the Sherlock Holmes Museum. But there was a too big row for visiting it, so we only went into the shop, which also gave us an impression of what we could have found in there. This museum is located near Oxford Street, so that was our next destination. We saw a lot of shops and we had lunch at a cute squire in a side street of Oxford Street. After that, we walked along a park to Harrods. I think we were in Harrods for more than an hour, because there was so much to see. When we were finished we went to SoHo. This is such a cute place, with lots of nice bars and restaurants. Next to SoHo is Chinatown. This place looks really cosy with a lot of orange lanterns in the air and you could get Chinese food everywhere. We had to hurry up because we had to go to the musical Matilda. It was a great musical. There were a lot of children in the play, who sang beautifully. I already knew the story because I read the book and saw the movies, but the play was still exiting.
On Sunday we went to the Tower Bridge and we walked around in that neighbourhood, especially along the Thames. We saw the Tower of London, the business centre of London, a music concert and a lot of food markets. Afterwards we went back to the Big Ben to see again that area of London, but by light. We saw the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye. In the evening, our train was going back to Chichester, so we left this amazing place. However, we had spent a wonderful weekend there!
