Terrorism-London

Man accused of injuring two people with a knife in a subway station in east London was to appear in front of a court Monday after being charged with attempted murder by the British anti-terrorist police.
The man who wounded two people in the London Underground this weekend is to appear in court Monday. 48hours after the incident, investigators Counterterrorism Command continued to check whether the 29-year-old suspect acted alone in committing what they called an "act of terrorism". Accommodation in East London was raided Sunday. They also seek to identify the reasons
that pushed Muhaydin Mire, described as very agitated by several witnesses, to wound two people in the neck, one seriously, Saturday around 19h at the access portals to Leytonstone station. Images associated with the Islamic State group and the recent bombings in Paris and pictures showing the recent performance of the British police, were found on his mobile phone. British media reported the testimony of several persons on site who heard the assailant justifying his act by saying: "It is for Syria." Police have not confirmed this information.
The attack came two days after the first British air strikes against the Islamic state group in Syria. It also took place less than a month after the attacks in Paris, claimed by the same group (130 dead),

and three days after a massacre in the United States (14 dead), described as "terrorist act" by the US President Barack Obama. According to Salim Patel, who runs a small shop inside the station, the attacker first violently hit his first victim, perhaps up to make him lose consciousness. He then pulled out a blade and made " back and forth movements," as if he wanted to decapitate the victim. Another man was slightly wounded in the neck, taking
to intervene. He is one of those that ensure that the aggressor "said something about Syria."
“He mainly looked crazy”
"He mainly had this freak look, he had this glimmer of madness in his eyes," said he told the Daily Mail, lamenting that other witnesses were "too busy filming the scene with their smartphones to intervene"
Some record a Muslim shouting to the assailant “you’re not Muslim, you make us ashamed!”
